There is a war going on inside the man and woman daily, the flesh is warring against your spirit to trust the Lord. In Psalm 27 David displayed a split personality, he wrote about his great faith in God and then great attack of the enemies of God and his fears.

Some would say you are not saved if you have fears and doubts. They might even say that you are not a man or you are a weak woman because you have allowed anxiety to creep into your life. I am reminded that Jesus felt real pain and anguish on the cross and his flesh (Jesus') even desired that this cup of suffering be taken from him.

But Jesus endured even death on the cross! We have to endure and press through our pains, fears, doubts, debts, loses and sorrows to the Prize of the High Calling. He said if you suffer with Me you will Reign with me. Come on you can do it, one more time, lets pray, one more time lets read that Word and be encouraged that the Lord can do it; He is Well Able. It is okay to be honest with God, tell Him how you really feel, so He can really meet you at your need and where you are; don't be religious be relational.

The Lord told me to tell you, "its going to be alright, the Lord is still on His Throne and He is about to act on your behalf and bring forth the Provision for the Vision."

It's been a long time since Jesus rose and ascended to the right hand of the Father. The story has been told over and over for thousands of years and His return which is most important to us today; that story has its legend as well. We have preached it, sang it, read it, memorized it, and prayed for His return all of our lives.

What is the challenge here? The Wait, the belief in Prophecy, the belief in the preaching, the belief in the Word of God Itself and the day to day overcoming of doubt that surrounds us. You know what really hurts us, its the false teaching and doctrine that is out there. Its on television, its on the radio and in many books and CD(s). People are prospering off of the false doctrines, they claim they know the date Jesus is coming and we buy it.

They claim they know the place that Jesus shall return and we buy it, they claim they have a new way to worship and serve the Lord and we run to the conference. They claim there is a new way to be delivered or be saved and we spend our rent money to get the CD set. They promise you a healing if you give $1000 or $5,000, but we won't pay our tithes that is $400. Remember obedience is better than sacrifice and select ignorance.

You get the point, but remember this JESUS IS COMING BACK!! When? When you least expect Him and when it seems like there is nothing left to save. In the meanwhile avoid the deception and blatant lies that come over the pulpits, internet, television and conferences that are not from the Lord. Read and believe the Word of God and be led by Spirit Filled men and women of God.

Prayer Focus: Staying the course with Jesus

Jesus is who He says He is, no matter what (they) say, whoever they are! You can put any name or thing in the place of they and have the same answer. Jesus is Lord of all whether they acknowledge Him or not.

You know what I have discovered They are not the problem, it is not what They think, it is what you think that matters the most. No one should determine your heights or depths in life, God has given us that decision making power. Note the many who escape poverty, prison, criminal upbringing and even abuse. They overcome because they made a decision not to let the enemy win in their lives.

Jesus has given us the power to overcome ourselves, but who do we say that He is in our lives? Who do you say that Jesus is? Is He lord small god or is Lord the Boss, The God and the Only God or one of your many gods? Is He your genie in a bottle you rub on when you need something or Is He what He says He is in your life?

A decision must be made in 2008, either He is a Provider Jehovah Jireh or you have another source, either He is Savior of your life or someone else has the ability to deliver you from hell. What will it be, your job, your degree, your money and great connections; perhaps its your awesome intelligence. Yeah that has always gone over well right? Look what happens when you are in charge and making your own decisions, how has that worked for you?

Let me help you today give it all to Jesus and allow Him to Rule and Reign fully in your life today and watch how things work for your good and the good of those around you. You cannot control everything, if you try all you can do is destroy yourself and those around you; let Jesus manage your life. Micro-managers drive themselves and others crazy trying to control life that they never gave, Jesus is the Lord whether you believe it or not, He can help you but only if you allow Him, otherwise you must carry the load and be your own god.

Prayer Focus: Being Honest with ourselves about Jesus being our Lord!

Where is my help in this time of trouble? Does anyone understand how I feel right about now? Someone out there has those questions roaming through their heads and the answer is yes, of course someone knows what you feel. For there is nothing new under the sun, but when things are happening to us it feels as though it is the first time it has ever happened to anyone.

When people try to comfort us, we say that you don't understand, you don't feel like I feel and this is happening to me. That is Satan speaking to you trying to convince you that your situation is unique, but as usual Satan is a liar. He is trying to isolate you and beat you down, but we must stay connected to vine of Jesus Christ. God helps us through people, He comforts us through others, but how will you know that over there by yourself, in the corner feeling sorry for yourself.

People grieve too long, hate too much, and stay in unforgiveness too long which leads to bitterness and sickness. We must come out of the shell and tell somebody how things appear and then they can awaken you to what is really going on from their perspective, but they will share God's global perspective and you shall change your attitude if you are one of God's people filled with His Spirit. The Spirit can communicate unto the Spirit, so if you are filled and your friends are filled then there will be an encounter and a victory.

Jesus would often ask, do you want to be healed or do you want to be made whole? Well, I ask the same of you today, how long will you linger in misery and defeat, today is your day of awakening and victory. Trust the Lord with your emotions today.

Prayer Focus: Has the enemy isolated me again in this corner of dispair? If so, I am coming out today!

Pray For: Peace @ work and a better attitude

Scripture: Job 2

The secrets of the heart and of our lives eventually come from under the cloud of darkness and into the light. When we live in secret there is a fear that is attached to that secret and the fear is that it will someday get out. For instance when the lady who was part of the SLA was captured after 27 years of hiding and the lady in San Diego who was on the lamb from a Michigan prison since 1974, these secrets eventually run their course, but we still try to keep them.

Are you not glad that when Jesus paid for your sins you didn't have to lie and hide any longer. These two ladies had made new lives for themselve or had they? Yes they were moms, wives and responsible citizens but they were not free citizens. In the back of their minds they kept on hearing those sirens and that knock on the door that said, "Come with me, we have discovered who you are". You don't live like that do you?

I praise the Lord that all the secrets in my life are out and I don't have to hide any longer, I don't have to lie and worry about somebody finding out. What a liberty, what a freedom it is to be in Christ and all of my sins and secrets are covered by the Blood of Jesus. Do you feel me today, isn't this your testimony? Are you over the past of your life, the darkness is over we now walk in the Light of Christ and don't have to fear the knock at the door or the phone call that has news of the uncovering. I know men who are afraid that some girl will call from their past saying those words, "It's yours", what? "The baby of course!" Pay $200 and don't go past go, I am sorry I couldn't resist that Monoply play there, but you understand.

Saints if we live in Christ we are not worried about the bill collector calling us because we are not running from our responsibilities. We don't worry about the police knocking at our doors because we are law abiding citizens and we are God fearing and responsible people of the Lord with nothing to hide. Right? We are free because Jesus said, "Who the Son sets free is free indeed". That is your testimony and mine, right? So, let's stop living in yesterday and walk into our tomorrows with liberty and joy in the Holy Ghost because you are not afraid of tomorrow, but you rejoice in the possibilities that Jesus has for you on tomorrow.

Prayer Focus: Everyday there is less darkness and more Light in my life, nothing is hidden from Christ all is in plain view.

Which way is this nation going, perhaps we cannot answer that today, but we can identify that the direction is the wrong one. It is getting very complicated and of course much of that is intentional; because the majority of the crowd does not investigate to find out more about the issues of this nation. We just don't want to know, we rely strictly on the news wire and the papers to tell us what is going on, because we don't want to really know how bad things are.

When we hear about banks closing, people losing their homes, companies shutting down, and the stock markets falling; we just figure that only effects those people and not us. Well, when you go to the store, when you see your cost of living increasing, it is because of all of those things that are happening to other people that you and I failed to consider. We need to get back to our intercessional lifestyles, where we prayed for situations other than our own. We used pray for our neighbors, our friends, co-workers and supervisors, we prayed for the sick and the weak; but somehow those concerns have become less of our prayer life.

A friend sent me a prayer from Billy Graham and it really makes it plain on the condition of this world today. Look at this prayer and think about your prayer list today.

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!'


Lord I hope that someone will read this prayer and awake from spiritual slumber. I pray that we will no longer be spiritual midgets, that we will seek the face of God and come out of being religious but relational. Lord help us to form our opinions based on Your Word and not just the pastor or what our friend said. We Christians cannot be supportive of abortion, condoms, same sex marriage or the lying prophets; lets not run after the name brand messages. It amazes me that we will pay good money to go to a conference to hear about ink pens and prayer kits, but you won't support a "free conference" that talks about the Kingdom.

Prayer Focus: Let's get back to our Father's Business today!

Well today we move over to our addictive personalities and how they destroy the process of our life's growth. When people are involved in drugs and alcohol their lives go on hold for that period of time, they stop maturing, they stop growing in life's wisdom and knowledge, time just seems to stand still for them. Those around them are are always waiting for them to stop and display that they have moved on or that maturity has now sit it; but all too often we see childish ways and immature behavior patterns.

Well it is easy to see those kinds of addictions but we are not discussing those kinds of addictions but the process addicts. A process addict is the one that is hooked on things that hinder the process of development of our lives. For instance work and business or busyness addicts, those who just have to be doing something or working on something so they cannot allow their minds to rest long enough to hear from God. We also have those who are very religious but not relational, yes they are in all the services, every church meeting and function but have never really met Jesus.

Of course there is the ones who are hooked on sex in and out of the church, but we rationalize that away as natural. There are those who are in hot pursuit of money and they will do anything to get it, this could be anyone even our leaders get caught up in this cycle of lust for more money. Another process addict are those who are looking for any kind of relationship good or bad, as long as someone is spending time with them they are there. This is a big one in the church today, sadly many go from church to church looking for Mr or Mrs right, but they are just wrong and cannot see it in themselves.

I have many more to go, but we will slow down here and give some insight, Satan loves to have us focus on ourselves and not on God; which is another process addiction, "Me-ism" everything is about you, everything is about me. This self focus is a very dangerous addiction and plays right into the aforementioned addictions. We must realize this race is not about us, but it is about Jesus and His love and sacrifice for us. We must break the cycle or we shall run into ourselves and crash and we also cause havoc for those following behind us because we have not led properly.

On tomorrow we shall pick up with the chaos addict, this won't hurt but it will heal and cause us to think. Satan doesn't want you thinking and praying about how to change and be more like Jesus, we must humble ourselves and pray for the direction of God in our lives or we shall find ourselves hooked on a process of destruction in our lives. For some us, we don't have time to waste being anything else other than what God has designed for us. Time is running out and we better get on with our Father's Business.

Prayer Focus: Do I have any addictions that are stopping my growth?

Spiritual fitness is better than physical fitness, but don't let the physical go down too far or there won't be any place for the spirit to dwell. In 2 Corinthians 4 it is discussed about this earthen vessel that is created by God for God, but we have been given the responsibility to take care of it. All too often we spend more time on this body either caring for it or destroying it. Our bodies are pretty tough based on what I have seen for over 27 years of Police work, I have seen dope addicts do some crazy stuff to their bodies and survive.

We see gang members get shot several times and live to talk about it, we see smokers killing themselves daily but they are still here, but one day it (the body) won't respond due to the cancer. There are the other extremes where we go all out to stay healthy, spending large amounts of money on special foods, workouts, therapy and the like to take care of the temple. But how much time and money do we spend on our spiritual well-being, I bet it doesn't compare, the time and energy devoted to this physical body greatly supercedes that spent on our spiritual house.

If you have been bought with a High Price and you are not your own, and the owner of your body desires to see it in worship, then why are we spending so much time on the things that are not as important. We need to spend time in the face of the Lord and that will bring our stress level way down, if we prayed more than we complained; we could hear God better. If tithed more than we spent we wouldn't have the financial problems we have today; if we trusted God more than we lived in discuss we would have a much simpler life.

What is within you, is it the peace of God that transcends your understanding, is it the love of God that covers a multitude of sins or is the love of this world? Only you and I can answer that, but if we allow the world to overwhelm us in time people will see what is in the vessel because it will begin to ooze out onto them. So it is going to be either the treasure of God or the sludge of this world, what will spew out of you when the pressure is on? I pray that God is filling you daily with His love and wisdom and peace, for if not then we shall hear that cursing spirit rise up and out of your mouth.

Prayer Focus: What is on the inside will be shown when the pressure rises.

The time for adoption is near and I pray that we are in position to be received by the King when He comes. If you look around you and this wicked world that we live in; we can see the signs of Jesus' return, but at what exact time we don't know. I have met people who were so sure as I have said previously and they lived like He was coming any minute, as we all should today.

If you look at China and the things transpiring there with Christians from America being arrested for simply praying. Athletes not being allowed into the country who are protesting against their evil practices and the brutal treatment of their own people who just want a voice. There are millions of underground Christians in China who we had the pleasure of meeting when we were there in 1999. God is Omnipresent and He has a way of entering the hearts of man whenever and where ever He desires.

Let's pray for those who are now being led by the Spirit of the Lord to pray at the games, in the streets, in their cars, on the bus and in their hotels. God is hearing those prayers and He will shake the very foundation of that nation to enter in. This could well be the most disruptive Olympics of all times because they don't want to allow the Kingdom of God in. You cannot keep God out for He is looking for His children to adopt and the whole creation is awaiting His return, even those in China. So no matter what they try to do to block out Jesus, it won't work.

There are numerous prophecies out there already in regards to the expectations of this Olympic Games, but my expectations are for the move of God when our Athletes win and mention Jesus in the atmosphere. Let us pray that our Mighty Warrior is present that His Presence is acknowledged by the scary media of America.

Prayer Focus: Let Jesus Reign as the games begin.

Pray For: Safety of Athletes, Safety of Saints in China.

How do we define faith? Is faith a belief in something or someone, perhaps it is the person with the most toys or major accomplishments? Today many of the television preachers would have us to believe that faith is getting what you want from God or being able to say the same thing for hundreds of times and see it manifest. Wealth appears to be what faith is today, the preacher with the largest facility has the most faith or the one with their own airplane.

Well as I have read the Bible for a number of years I do see that God's people have seen blessings, prosperity and miracles; but that is not how faith is defined. The way I understand the blessings of God, is that because we have faith in God those things became evident or they were part of the package. Now there are other things in that package too and it is called suffering and persecutions, if you keep reading in Hebrews 11 you will not only see what faith is but you will hear about those who had faith but didn't receive the promises made. Now that doesn't mean God lied, it simply means the promise didn't come through them, but it did come through their descendants.

You and I are the living witnesses that God cannot lie, everything that was promised to the heroes of faith as come to pass in our time. Wow, God is truly outside of time and He hovers over His Word to ensure that it comes to pass, just as He said it would. Our job is to believe in what we cannot see and have hope for it till it manifests, knowing this that even if we die before it should come that it shall be done in the earth. You see many awesome prophets died before they observed the things said by God were manifested in the earth; but they were assured by real faith that God is able to perform whatever He says.

Now do you have faith today to believe God no matter what, He can do it right now or next week or next year but that should not hinder your faith because it shall be done. Hey remember none of us were here when the earth was formed but we must believe what He says because you are standing on that promise right now by faith.

Where is the focus today? Boy I finally see it, Satan who is the deceiver of deceivers, the father of lies has done a good job getting us to focus on survival rather than the worship of God. You see if we continue looking at Wall Street, GM, World economy, job losses and home losses we spend a great deal less time testifying of His (God's) Goodness. I am beginning to see why the Lord is leading our services back to time in prayer and fasting.

This month of June the Lord made it clear that we need to focus on worship, prayer, praise and adoration of the King of kings and the Lord of lords. We need to get back to our knees and give God the glory for how He has kept us in the midst of this storm and how you still have jobs and a roof over your head despite all the bad news, Jesus is still the Good News. Jesus Saves is the motto for eternity and right now it is the motto for June. There are so many feel good messages out on the radio and television but no relationship messages, for you see you cannot celebrate the victory with Jesus if you are not walking with Him.

We think we can live any old way and claim to walk with Jesus, come people God is not a door mat nor is He a God that is blind to our sin, yes there is grace but we must confess our sins and then He is faithful and just to forgive us but today our churches don't teach that we are sinning. So how can you repent if you don't think being drunk is wrong? How can you repent when watching naked women and lusting in a strip bar is not being taught as sin? When adultery and fornication are not condemned and homosexuality is seen as a people group, then we allow people to go straight to hell without any warning.

Pastors ought to be ashamed of themselves today and the members are ashamed as well since we are responsible for knowing the truth ourselves. Let us turn from sin and seek the face of God and lets not fight over whether right is wrong or wrong is right, the Bible has spoken and made it clear what is sin. Lets get back to business and focus on the things of God and lets no longer be distracted by the smoke screen of the enemy, God will bring us through this but you must stay the course with Him.

Payer Focus: Keep your eyes on Jesus and His Righteousness and He will keep us in perfect peace.

Life is full of deception, one of the greatest deceptions is that we are good and that we have always been good. I used to love hear people testify in church about how they have been the church all of their lives and they never walked on the dark side, they never left God. But we that are observing their lives go wow perhaps we don't understand what darkness is, I mean if you have been through a few divorces, emotional breakdowns, financial ruin, can't keep relationships, not friendly and you can't forgive. I think you need to fix that testimony a bit.

You see darkness is not just drinking, smoking and fornicating. Too many of us think we have left the world when in fact we are still in the world, just the worldly church. Since too many of our churches fail to teach about holy living we believe that we are alright with God when in fact He does not know us. Now eventually some of these church people do get it and they do walk with God out of spiritual drunkenness but how long before they get it or what if you never get it and you go to hell from the pew.

There needs to be a visible transition from darkness to the Light, you cannot stand in the door jam trying to be in the Light and the darkness at the same time. Today lets demonstrate the fruits of salvation through being good, righteous, and telling the truth. We can't have fellowship with darkness and its fruit, we are under orders to expose darkness but we are too busy trying to cover our sin with justification, we are covering the sins of others instead of being Godly and confronting sin.

I know it is difficult to confront co-workers and friends but if we really loved their soul we would love them into the kingdom instead of being cowardice and allow them to go to eternal damnation. Why do fear men more than God, it is simple we are more concerned about the temporal than the eternal. Today help someone to the Light for darkness can cause eternal incidents that they can never recover from.

Prayer Focus: Whatever you do today should be of the Light and not of darkness, so that when others see it they will know it was from God.
