Brother or Sister can you help me? This question will be asked of you at some point and at that time you have to make a decision as to whether or not you are willing to help the one asking. When we think of the good Samaritan, which was a race of people but we have made it a term of someone helping another. Are you a good Christian, or a better term today is a "Good Believer"? Too many racists, killers, rapist and murders have claimed to be Christian but they were not believers. Jesus said how do I know that you are mine, because you obey My Commands and you have love for one another.
So are you willing to help someone today? Will you help me if I were to ask, I know the answer for some of you because you are my friends and co-workers but others are on the list that I don't know. Many have supported me during a time of crisis in my family through prayer, encouraging words, scriptures, prophetic utterances and just sometimes a smiling face or a hug. So I know some of you are willing but what about helping someone you don't know?
When we see people stranded on the road do we think to stop and help them, when you see someone being attacked on the sidewalk will you think about stopping to lend a hand or even to call the police? Well I know we live in a time where we are afraid to get involved and that is why crime continues to run ramped because no one sees anything or hears a thing but if you are a Believer as you say then when someone asks for help you should respond.
Jesus told us if we ask for help He will be there for us and He is our model, I have been persecuted for helping people too much but that is a cross I am willing to bear. Jesus gave us the parable about the persistent neighbor asking for bread and the one inside eventually opened the door and helped and He told us this story to let us know that persistent prayer will get you what you desire. I will keep on fighting and praying for my family, will you do the same for my family and yours? If we keep on bombarding heaven with this crisis in the families today, we can see divorces turn around, separation cease and oneness restored in Jesus name.
Today declare it and be who you say you are in Jesus a Believer who is willing to pray and help even those you don't know!
Prayer Focus: I am willing to pray for my friends, my enemies and for those I don't know because I know they need my help. That's what Believers do!
